The French Knight series chessmen are a simple yet elegant interpretation of the classic Staunton design that we all know and love.

Each piece has been expertly turned and polished to a standard you usually expect to see in a much more expensive chess set. In keeping with this luxurious feel is the sheesham (golden rosewood) used to create the French Knight Series. This exotic hardwood is hard-wearing yet beautiful, with parallel grains running through each chess piece.

Having such a distinctive wood also means that no two sets are ever the same.

Every piece has been internally weighted and felted on the base, meaning they meet The Regency Chess Company standard.

Due to the handcrafted nature of wooden chessmen, please be aware that there could be some slight variations within the carving design.
